If you still don't understand why the Conservatives need to leave the EPP, read this.

Lars Wohlin is about as respectable as they come: a Christian Democratic MEP, and former governor of the Swedish Central Bank. But he happens to be against the euro and the Lisbon Treaty, and so feels he would be more comfortable with the Tories than with the EPP. Accordingly, he applied to join the "ED" section of the EPP-ED Group.

Now the ED (European Democrats) has always been a fiction: it has no staff, no meetings, no resources. It exists, literally, in name only. But, at least in theory, it was meant to be a home for people who were inside the EPP-ED, but against Euro-federalism. Under a deal struck between Michael Howard and the EPP in 2004, any MEP was entitled to join either pillar. So Mr Wohlin was rather surprised to be told that he couldn't join he ED without a full vote by all EPP Members, and that there was no intention to schedule any such vote.

I realise that this is all getting a bit technical and wonkish, so let me put it simply. The Conservatives agreed to remain allied to the EPP in 2004 on the basis of a comprehensive agreement. The EPP has now utterly reneged on its side of the bargain. Why, then, should the Tories remain bound by it?

Regular readers will know that I have already fulfilled David Cameron's commitment. I look forward to my Conservative friends doing the same.

HOW SHE GOT THAT SCAR!!

Tina Fey's husband opened up to "Vanity Fair" Magazine and explained the story about the scar on her face. Tina was cut by a stranger when she was five years old.

"It was in, like, the front yard of her house, and somebody who just came up, and she just thought somebody marked her with a pen. That scar was fascinating to me. This is somebody who, no matter what it was, has gone through something. And I think it really informs the way she thinks about her life."

Of course Tina Fey is GREAT no matter what!!!

Former Danity Kane singer blonde Aubrey O'Day celebrated Thanksgiving in the most unique way. The day before the holiday, she posed nude for Playboy Magazine, reports say. On top of it all, she has reportedly gotten in the centerfold. Wow. That's a big look for her, considering her downward spiral. The shoot reportedly took all day. (Oh, she was also Diddy's rumored jumpoff and hence his ex-alleged-jumpoff.)

Britney Spears' Fans Think 'For The Record' Was 'Honest' But Want More Dirt On Her Exes

'This is what fans and others have wanted from her for a long time,' one fan says.

If the mission of Britney Spears' tell-all documentary "For the Record" was to get people talking on the week of her album release, she accomplished it with flying colors. The word on the street is that the special - which premiered on MTV on Sunday night and will be available on MTV.com beginning at 8 p.m. on Wednesday - was just what fans wanted after years of seeing their beloved star splashed across the tabloids.

In the documentary, Spears talked about motherhood and her desire to remarry, but Gargiulo and Kane wanted to hear more about her marriage to Kevin Federline, as well as her controversial relationship with photographer Adnan Ghalib. "I think she was hiding a little something," Kane observed. "I feel for her. ... [But] I think that people that don't know her will feel for her."

Viewers also took to the Web with their reactions to the documentary.

"The documentary was definitely worth watching," Mike wrote. "I think a lot of us forgot who she really was. The rest of the fans and I didn't forget that at all. No one said she's perfect and hasn't [made] any mistakes, but look at what's around her every single day of her life. The actual documentary was brilliant on MTV's part. MTV should definitely go for another one. Not just for Britney, but for other stars too."

Here is some food for thought for anyone who has a facebook account. This is a short video, please watch.

Even though this semester is coming to an end, and the holidays are right around the corner, I'm not so sure I'll be getting a PS3 anytime soon. Too bad, too. I was really wanting to be able to use the AdHoc thing when it comes out. Assuming it does come out internationally, that is.

Anyway, this was mainly just to see if I'd get "lifetime points" from this, but also to say I'm uploading my first Monster Hunter video from last year on my profile.

How's this for a few well chosen words?

Now this is more revealing than it may at first appear. Why? Because it was Harriet who expressed surprise and concern. Jack's successor Jacqui did not.

Had another rough night at the Shrewsbury KOH tournament.  It was my best 3 game set to date.  (I have now bowled in it 3 times.)  Anyway, I started out trying to roll my ball down the 5 board, and the 1st couple of shots looked good.  But on my 3rd ball in warm ups, my ball grabbed the lane as soon as it touched the lanes.  I am attributing that to the wood lanes being worn on the outside.  I moved in a little bit, and started bowling for score rolling the ball over the 2nd arrow with my ball going out to about the 6th or 7th board.  As the lanes started to hook more, I moved my feed to the left 1 board at a time, keeping my target as the 2nd arrow, and that worked for the 1st 2 games (220-191).  However, when we changed lanes for the 3rd game, I was in the pocket on the left lane, but couldn't find it on the right.  The 1st 3 frames on the right lane were 2-8-10, 3-6-10 and the big 4, and I did not pick up any of them.  I finally moved where I was standing 4 boards to the left, and moved my mark 2 boards to the left and I found the pocket on the right side, and lost it on the left lane.  Oh Well.  :(  Overall, I felt like I was picking up my spares better.  However, I did miss 3 makable spares through the 3 games, and I missed the cut by 30 pins.  My scores were 220-191-152 for a 563 series on the NCAA #2 pattern.

For those college bowlers (past and present) do you have any suggestions on how to play the different NCAA patterns?

I feel like I am close, but I don't get a chane to practice on the conditions prior to the tournaments.

 I am not sure where I recently heard this, but all that fiasco about Jay-Z and Rihanna has turned out to be a big, fat lie. But, guess where the lie originated? Her own publicist has taken credit for creating the rumors.
